Challenge
A production and warehouse area exceeding 5,000 m² required perimeter fire hydrant protection and the interior sprinkler network to operate simultaneously. The infrastructure also had to be designed to accommodate future campus expansion.
Solution
A DN150 HDPE fire hydrant network was designed outdoors at a buried depth of 100 cm, keeping hydrant spacing in line with the hazard class. Indoors, a wet sprinkler line dedicated to production and raw material storage was installed together with compressed-air-assisted dry sprinkler zones. The fire pump set was configured with a diesel pump backup that starts automatically even during power outages.
Outcome
A protection infrastructure was created that can be monitored from a single point across the campus and is ready to scale. A periodic maintenance contract secures the operational continuity of the system.
