Our fire protection approach on the Aksu Mobilya project

In furniture manufacturing, paint and varnish booths are among the most sensitive areas of the facility because of the flammable solvent vapor released during surface finishing. A spark or an overheated piece of equipment in the booths can quickly ignite solvent vapor and spread to semi-finished stock nearby. In these areas, both fast detection and accessible response points are decisive for production safety.

At the Aksu Mobilya facility, interior response points are supported by fire hose cabinets, while outdoor protection is provided by the fire hydrant line. The flow and pressure the system requires are supplied by the fire pump set, creating an integrated response network across the facility, from the paint booth to the open yard.

Periodic checks of the reach distance and pressure values of fire hose cabinets in paint and varnish areas are important for maintaining fire department approval. Periodic pressure tests on the fire hydrant line keep outdoor response capacity at the same level all year.
