Our fire protection approach on the Avensis project

In furniture manufacturing, press and drying units are areas where adhesives and veneer materials are processed with heat; because they contain a constant heat source, they pose a separate risk to the combustible materials around them. Overheating on the press line can turn into a fire quickly and spread to nearby wood stock. In these areas, it is very important that response points are within a short reach distance.

At the Avensis Mobilya facility, interior response points are supported by fire hose cabinets, while outdoor safety is provided by the fire hydrant line. The water reserve and operating pressure the system requires are supplied by the fire water tank and pump set, guaranteeing continuous water supply even near the press and drying lines.

Periodic maintenance and pressure checks of the fire hose cabinet equipment around the press line preserve the reliability of the system, which is approved by the fire department. Regular testing of the fire hose cabinet system is carried out with a maintenance calendar planned without stopping production.
