Our fire protection approach on the Else Home project
Fabric rolls and padding materials used in home textile production are among the materials that ignite quickly because of their light, porous structure. In areas where different types of these materials are stored together, there is a high risk that a fire will spread across large volumes in a short time. Keeping response time short is therefore especially important at facilities producing home textiles.
At the Else Home facility, an integrated water supply system was installed to shorten response time in a fire. Fire hose cabinets serve different usage areas inside the building, while the hydrant line supports outdoor safety. The fire pump set and water tank complete the required flow, pressure, and reserve infrastructure.
Periodic maintenance of fire hose cabinets near fabric and padding stocks allows the system, approved by the fire department, to be used quickly when needed. Regular inspection of the fire hose cabinet system under the maintenance contract is recommended.
