Our fire protection approach on the Allbemac Makine project

The foam and padding materials used in mattress production ignite quickly and also produce dense smoke as they burn. Foam blocks stacked in production and raw material storage areas allow a fire to spread across large volumes in a very short time. At facilities with a lot of foam, it is therefore critical that response points are accessible and always ready so a fire is brought under control before it grows.

At the Allbemac Mattress Factory, a fire hose cabinet infrastructure was installed to allow fast, controlled response in production areas. The water source comes from the fire water tank, while the required pressure and flow are delivered by the fire pump set, guaranteeing an uninterrupted supply even near the foam stocks.

Regular review of foam storage areas and periodic maintenance of fire hose and nozzle equipment ensure the system, approved by the fire department, performs as expected in a real incident. The maintenance schedule for the fire hose cabinet system is carried out with inspections planned without stopping production.
