Our fire protection approach on the Hey Mobilya project

In furniture manufacturing, the varnish and solvent-based materials used in surface finishing and paint booths generate dense vapor in enclosed spaces, noticeably raising fire risk. A flame in these areas spreads fast and produces heavy smoke. Ventilation around the booths and the buildup of waste material are factors that call for continuous monitoring.

At the Hey Mobilya facility, sprinkler and fire hose cabinet systems strengthen response in the production area, while the hydrant network provides support from outside the site. The pump and tank group meets the water demand of these lines, and smoke vents help quickly clear the dense smoke that can build up around the paint booth. Detection and emergency exit systems act as the layers that complete early warning and safe evacuation.

The project was completed with fire department approval, on an installation schedule planned so the production line did not stop. The periodic maintenance contract, aligned with BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation), includes regular inspection of the equipment around the booths in particular. The fire hose cabinet system, the staff's first-response point, is treated as a priority in these inspections.
