Our fire protection approach on the Bintaş project

Some of the insulation and coating materials used in building materials production can be more flammable than standard construction materials. A fire starting in areas where these materials are processed or stored can spread quickly and produce dense smoke, depending on the material. A core water-based response infrastructure must therefore always be ready at facilities producing building materials.

At the Bintaş Yapı facility, core fire water systems were commissioned for fast, effective response in the event of a fire. Indoor areas are served by fire hose cabinets, while a fire hydrant line provides response capability outdoors. The fire pump set and water tank were included in the project to meet the system's supply demand continuously.

Measuring the pressure values of the fire hose cabinet and hydrant lines periodically ensures this system, approved by the fire department, delivers the same performance all year. Regular testing of the fire hydrant system under the maintenance contract is therefore a priority.
