Our fire protection approach on the Daiwa Soba project

In stove manufacturing, metal cutting and welding operations are carried out in the same facility as the paint and coating sections. A typical scenario for an unexpected fire is sparks from welding reaching areas where paint or solvents are present. At facilities where metalworking and painting lines sit side by side, the water source must be continuous and sufficient so that both sections can be protected at the same time.

At the Daiwa Soba production site, measures were implemented to strengthen firefighting infrastructure. Response points inside the facility are organized with fire hose cabinets, and a hydrant line was commissioned across the surrounding site. A pump set and water tank were integrated into the system to meet fire water demand reliably.

Periodically checking the accessibility of fire hose cabinets near the welding and paint sections allows the system, approved by the fire department, to be used quickly in a real incident. Regular inspection of the fire hose cabinet system under the maintenance contract is recommended.
