Our fire protection approach on the Çavuşoğlu Boya project
Flammable liquids used on paint production lines and the layer of soot that builds up in paint booths together pose a serious fire risk. Soot accumulated on booth surfaces can over time become prone to spontaneous ignition, which means the risk is not zero even when production is stopped. Paint production therefore needs systems that provide protection both during production and during downtime.
At the Çavuşoğlu Boya facility, a multi-layered protection system was implemented to meet the fire safety needs of production activities. Sprinklers and fire hose cabinets support interior response, while the hydrant line strengthens access around the site. Fire water is supplied through a pump set and tank, and smoke venting, detection and alarm, and safe exit provisions were added to the system.
Regular cleaning of soot buildup in paint booths and periodic testing of detection sensors directly affect the reliability of the sprinkler system. In this project, approved by the fire department, inspecting the evacuation routes under the maintenance contract should not be neglected either.
