Our fire protection approach on the Garanti Soba project

In stove manufacturing, metal forming and paint coating are carried out under the same roof; sparks from welding and cutting lines can turn into an unexpected fire when they meet solvent vapor in the paint section. At facilities where these two different types of risk coexist, there must be enough automatic and manual response points. This dual risk on the production line directly determines the scope of the suppression system.

At the Garanti Soba production facility, systems combining suppression, warning, and evacuation functions were installed to protect manufacturing areas. Sprinklers and fire hose cabinets are used indoors, while response points outside the facility are supported by a hydrant line. The fire water tank and pump set provide the required supply, and smoke control and emergency systems make up the remaining components of the project.

Periodically checking sprinkler coverage in the paint and welding sections preserves the reliability of the system approved by the fire department. Regular testing of the sprinkler system under the maintenance contract is recommended.
