Our fire protection approach on the Pars Home project
The foam and cotton filling materials used in mattress manufacturing are combustible, igniting rapidly and giving off dense smoke. Processing these materials in large volumes along the production line raises the risk of a spark spreading over a wide area in a short time. The presence of different types of combustible material together makes the sensitivity of early detection even more important.
At the Pars Home Yatak factory, the sprinkler system protects the production areas while fire hose cabinets and perimeter hydrants strengthen manual response. The fire water tank and fire pump set were installed to work together with smoke control, alarm and emergency evacuation infrastructure against the dense smoke risk created by filling materials.
The project was completed with fire department approval, on an installation process planned without stopping production. The system is tested regularly under a periodic maintenance contract aligned with BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation). The fire hydrant line, which provides outdoor assurance for areas dense with filling material, is a priority in these checks.
