Our fire protection approach on the Cihansan Mobilya project
At furniture facilities where production, storage, and common areas sit together, each section has a different fire risk, but because they are adjacent a fire in one can spread quickly to the others. The proximity of common areas to production lines requires special attention for both personnel safety and fire spread rate. All sections of the facility should therefore be addressed to the same safety standard.
At the Cihansan Mobilya facilities, fire safety measures covering production, stock, and common areas were implemented. Automatic sprinkler protection, indoor fire hose cabinets, and the perimeter hydrant line form a complementary response network. Fire water is supplied by the pump-and-tank set, with smoke venting, alarm, and emergency exit infrastructure also included in the scope.
Periodic testing of the detection and alarm system in common areas ensures a fire is noticed early and reported to the whole facility. Regular inspection of the detection and alarm infrastructure under the maintenance contract is necessary to keep fire department approval valid.
