Our fire protection approach on the Madalyon project
In production facilities, the smaller headcount during night shifts is a risk factor that can lengthen the time it takes to notice a fire. During these low-supervision hours, aging electrical wiring or an overlooked spark can grow for a long time without intervention. This is why automatic systems that do not depend on human supervision are critical in night scenarios.
At the Madalyon Mobilya facility, sprinkler, fire hose cabinet and hydrant systems were installed to serve different areas of use. Automatic sprinkler protection activates without human intervention even at night, controlling the fire at its point of origin. In addition to the fire water tank and pump set, smoke vents, alarm and emergency exit systems are active throughout the facility.
The system was commissioned with fire department approval on an installation plan that did not disrupt the production schedule. The periodic maintenance contract covering BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation) requirements keeps the automatic systems for night scenarios in particular continuously ready. The sprinkler system that activates in these scenarios is a priority in maintenance checks.
