Our fire protection approach on the Ödül Trophy project
In metalware and metal processing, sparks from cutting, welding and polishing stations combined with heavy use of electrical equipment keep fire risk constantly alive. The density of electrical installations on the production line requires that any fault be noticed quickly. In such facilities, early detection is as decisive a protection layer as the suppression systems.
At the Ödül Trophy facility, sprinkler and fire hose cabinet lines provide active protection inside the building while the response network was extended with an outdoor hydrant installation. Alongside the fire pump set and water tank, fire detection and alarm, smoke vents and emergency exit measures provide early warning and safe exit against the high concentration of electrical equipment on the production line.
The system was commissioned with fire department approval on an installation schedule planned so production continuity was not affected. It is tested regularly under a periodic maintenance contract aligned with BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation). The fire detection and alarm systems that enable early detection in areas dense with electrical equipment are a priority in these inspections.
