Our fire protection approach on the Minisan project
In automotive parts manufacturing, the chemicals used on paint and coating lines combined with oil residue from the production process create a risk mix that lets a fire grow quickly. Because production and auxiliary areas carry different risk levels, the protection system must perform with equal strength across the facility. Outdoor stock areas are an additional factor to be assessed in this scope.
At the Minisan Otomotiv facility, sprinkler and fire hose cabinet systems support response inside the building while the hydrant network strengthens outdoor access. Fed by the fire pump set and water tank, the infrastructure is completed with smoke control, fire detection and alarm, and emergency evacuation systems, and also covers sections with special risk such as the paint line.
The project was completed with fire department approval, on an installation process planned without stopping the production flow. The system is inspected regularly under a periodic maintenance contract aligned with BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation). The sprinkler system, the core of the production line's automatic protection, is a priority in these checks.
