Our fire protection approach on the Ellda Mobilya project

At furniture facilities, when finished-goods storage areas and evacuation routes sit close to each other, a fire can affect both material loss and personnel safety at the same time. The density of stored products can reduce the visibility of escape routes, making safe evacuation harder. Storage areas and evacuation planning should therefore be designed together.

In the fire safety infrastructure of the Ellda Mobilya facility, production areas, the outdoor site, and evacuation routes were evaluated as a whole. The sprinkler network and fire hose cabinets provide indoor response, while the hydrant system covers the site perimeter. The fire pump set, water tank, smoke vents, and detection systems were implemented together with emergency signage.

Keeping evacuation routes near storage areas clear and periodically testing smoke vents ensures the plan, approved by the fire department, works in a real incident. Regular inspection of the evacuation systems under the maintenance contract is recommended.
