Our fire protection approach on the Rado Mobilya project
In furniture manufacturing, finished products waiting in storage and shipping areas, together with packaging materials, become a zone with a high fire load. A fire that starts here can spread quickly among stacked products, causing both loss of goods and interruption of production and shipping flow. It is very important that the storage layout does not limit access for suppression systems.
At the Rado Mobilya factory, the sprinkler system and fire hose cabinets support response capability inside the site while the hydrant line is used in outdoor areas. The pump and tank group brings the system's components together under one structure with smoke control, early warning and emergency evacuation solutions, protecting against the fire load in storage and shipping areas.
The system was commissioned with fire department approval on an installation schedule planned without disrupting shipping operations. It is tested regularly under a periodic maintenance contract aligned with BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation). The fire hydrant line, which provides outdoor assurance for the storage area, is a priority in these checks.
