Our fire protection approach on the Mizanlar Mobilya project
In furniture manufacturing, particleboard and sheet stock held in the raw material warehouse forms a risk area with a high fire load per volume. The warehouse's location close to the production line can let a fire that starts in one section jump to the other in a short time. It is important that warehouse layout does not limit early detection and response.
At the Mizanlar Mobilya production sites, the sprinkler network and fire hose cabinets protect the interior sections while the hydrant line around the site supports outside response. Smoke vents and safe exit solutions were added to the infrastructure, whose continuity is ensured by the pump and tank system, extending the protection scope against the dense material stock in the raw material warehouse.
The system was completed with fire department approval on an installation process planned without disrupting the production schedule. It is tested regularly under a periodic maintenance contract aligned with BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation). The fire hydrant line, which provides outdoor assurance for the raw material warehouse, is a priority in these checks.
