Our fire protection approach on the Savaş Mobilya Evdemo project

In home furniture manufacturing, the foam and fabric filling materials used in upholstered products are combustible, igniting rapidly and giving off dense smoke. Processing these materials in large quantities on the production line raises the risk of a spark spreading over a wide area in a short time. Equal protection must be provided across the different sections of the upholstery line.

At the Evdemo Mobilya production facility, sprinklers and fire hose cabinets protect the interior while a hydrant network was built around the site. Fire detection and alarm, smoke vents and emergency exit solutions were included in the infrastructure supported by the fire water tank and pump set, providing integrated protection against the filling material risk on the upholstery line.

The project was completed with fire department approval, on an installation process planned without stopping the production line. The system is inspected regularly under a periodic maintenance contract aligned with BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation). The mechanical systems that ensure the continuity of the water source are a priority in these checks.
