Our fire protection approach on the Proline project

On wood production lines, cutting, drilling and surface finishing continuously generate fine chips and dust; suspended in the air, these materials create a much faster ignition risk than normal conditions. Because the machines on the line run continuously, accumulated material must be cleaned regularly and early detection must be effective at every point.

At the Proline Ahşap facility, the sprinkler installation provides automatic protection indoors while fire hose cabinets and the hydrant line increase response access. The water reserve and fire pump set were commissioned together with smoke ventilation, alarm infrastructure and emergency signage, enabling rapid detection and response on the chip-heavy production line.

The installation was completed with fire department approval, on an installation process planned without stopping the production line. The system is inspected regularly under a periodic maintenance contract covering BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation) requirements. The sprinkler system, the core of automatic protection on the production line, is a priority in these checks.
