Our fire protection approach on the Flekssit project

At furniture production facilities carrying a high fire load, effective response to a fire requires instant access to a large amount of water. At facilities with extensive production lines, an inadequate water source can become a major disadvantage in the first minutes of response. For large-scale production areas, the capacity of the water reserve therefore becomes a decisive element in system design.

At the Flekssit Mobilya production facility, work was carried out to strengthen the water infrastructure needed for fire response. Response points inside the facility are provided by fire hose cabinet piping, and a 500-ton fire water tank was installed to supply the large water reserve the system requires.

Periodic level and pressure checks of the 500-ton water tank are necessary so that the system, approved by the fire department, delivers the expected flow when needed. Regular testing of the fire hose cabinet system under the maintenance contract is recommended.
