Our fire protection approach on the Gencallar Ayakkabı project

Adhesives and solvents used in shoe manufacturing can accumulate in an enclosed workshop and form a layer of flammable vapor. Sections processing rubber and leather-derived materials are also among the material groups that produce dense, toxic smoke when burned. At shoe production facilities, it is therefore important to position response points close to the gluing and assembly lines.

At the Gencallar Ayakkabı production facility, an indoor fire water infrastructure was installed for fast, effective fire response. Accessible response points across the facility are provided by fire hose cabinets, while the system's water reserve and operating pressure are supplied by the fire water tank and pump set.

Periodic maintenance and pressure checks of fire hose cabinets near the gluing line allow the system, approved by the fire department, to be used quickly when needed. Regular inspection of the fire hose cabinet system under the maintenance contract is recommended.
