Our fire protection approach on the Hanedan Mobilya project

In furniture manufacturing, wood dust that accumulates on cutting and CNC lines creates an environment that burns far faster than normal when suspended in the air. Buildup at chip collection points and around machines can ignite from a small spark within seconds. Because the production line is in constant motion, early detection and automatic suppression must be active at the same time.

At the Hanedan Mobilya facility, a sprinkler system, fire hose cabinets and a hydrant line were installed together against this risk. The sprinkler network automatically controls a fire at its point of origin on the production line, while the fire hose cabinets and hydrant line give staff and the fire department different response options. Smoke vents and fire detection and alarm systems provide early warning, and emergency exit signage completes safe evacuation.

All systems were commissioned with fire department approval and in line with BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation) requirements; installation was planned without stopping production. They are tested regularly under a periodic maintenance contract. The sprinkler system, the core of the facility's automatic protection, is the priority checkpoint in this maintenance program.
