Our fire protection approach on the My Home Mobilya project
In furniture manufacturing, finished goods storage and shipping areas, together with packaging materials, become zones with a high fire load. A fire that starts here can spread quickly among stacked products and interrupt shipping flow. Early response capability must be maintained at every stage of the process, from production to storage.
At the My Home Mobilya facility, an infrastructure was built to address different response scenarios with a sprinkler installation, fire hose cabinets and a hydrant network. Smoke vents, alarm and emergency exit solutions were added to the fire pump set and water tank, providing facility-wide safety integrity against the fire load in finished goods storage and shipping areas.
The system was commissioned with fire department approval on an installation schedule planned without disrupting shipping operations. It is tested regularly under a periodic maintenance contract aligned with BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation). The evacuation systems that support employees' safe exit are a priority in these checks.
