Our fire protection approach on the İnsan Vakfı project

In collective accommodation such as dormitories, heavy occupant movement and a large number of residents asleep, especially at night, make fire safety directly dependent on evacuation speed. Combustible materials in corridors and common areas, together with limited escape routes, raise the importance of early detection and clear guidance. In such buildings, safety must be planned around both suppression and a safe exit scenario.

At the İnsan Vakfı Girls' Dormitory, sprinkler and fire hose cabinet systems protect the interior while the hydrant line provides external response capability. Alongside the fire water infrastructure, fire detection and alarm systems can quickly identify a fire even while residents are asleep; smoke vents and emergency exit signage strengthen safe evacuation conditions.

The installation was planned so as not to disrupt the dormitory's daily routine and completed with fire department approval. A periodic maintenance contract aligned with BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation) requirements keeps the systems, especially those serving night scenarios, continuously ready. The evacuation systems that directly support residents' safe exit are a priority in these inspections.
