Our fire protection approach on the Lapex Ahşap project

In wood processing factories, fine chips and dust from cutting and sanding stations create an easily ignitable environment without proper ventilation. Material that accumulates at various points on the production line can let a spark spread over a wide area quickly. This is why early detection must cover all critical points of the line.

At the Lapex Ahşap factory, the sprinkler network covers the production areas while fire hose cabinets and hydrants strengthen response access. The fire water infrastructure formed by the fire pump set and water tank is supported by smoke ventilation and early warning systems, enabling rapid detection and response even in chip-heavy zones. Emergency exit arrangements complete this protection scope.

The project was completed with fire department approval, on an installation process planned without stopping the production line. The system is tested regularly under a periodic maintenance contract aligned with BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation). The fire detection and alarm systems that enable early detection in chip-heavy zones are a priority in these inspections.
