Our fire protection approach on the Piyano Mobilya project

Operating several buildings together on a large production campus requires fire safety to be planned in a coordinated way across the whole site rather than from a single point. While reduced staffing on the night shift can lengthen the time it takes to notice a fire, the size of the campus makes it even more important that safe evacuation routes are open and easy to understand. At this scale, each section needs protection suited to its own risk profile.

At the Piyano Mobilya production facility, systems covering early response to fire, smoke control and safe evacuation were implemented as a whole. Sprinkler and fire hose cabinet infrastructure was built in the production areas, while the perimeter of the site was supported by a hydrant system. Fire detection and alarm, smoke vents and emergency exit solutions were included on the lines fed by the fire pump set and water tank, bringing the campus's different sections under a single protection infrastructure.

The system was commissioned with fire department approval, using a phased installation plan while production on the campus continued. It is tested regularly across the whole campus under a periodic maintenance contract aligned with BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation). The evacuation systems that support safe exit during the night shift are a priority in these inspections.
