Our fire protection approach on the Mavera Mobilya project
In furniture manufacturing, paint and varnish booths are special risk areas where fire can grow quickly because solvent vapor concentrates in an enclosed space. Surface preparation and drying around the booths keep raising temperature and vapor density, feeding the risk. In these zones, early detection and automatic suppression working together keep a fire under control before it grows.
At the Mavera Mobilya factory, the automatic sprinkler system works to limit fire growth in the paint booth and production areas, while fire hose cabinets and the hydrant line increase response options. The water supply group is supported by smoke ventilation, early detection and safe evacuation systems, addressing the special risk around the booth within one integrated structure.
The project was completed with fire department approval, on an installation process planned without stopping the production flow. The periodic maintenance contract, aligned with BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation), includes regular checks of the equipment around the booth. The fire detection and alarm systems that enable early detection of solvent vapor are a priority in these inspections.
