Our fire protection approach on the Meissa Tıbbi Cihazlar project

In medical device manufacturing, sensitive electronic components and sterile production areas require particular care for both fire risk and ensuring that suppression does not damage equipment. Packaging and insulation materials used in production can add fire load if not managed carefully. In such facilities, the ability to respond quickly and precisely at first response is highly important.

At the Meissa Tıbbi Cihazlar facility, an interior fire water infrastructure was installed to meet this need. Accessible response points were created throughout the facility with fire hose cabinets, while the water reserve and operating pressure the system needs are provided by the fire water tank and fire pump set. This structure offers a quickly deployable response suited to sensitive production areas.

The system was completed with fire department approval on an installation schedule planned with production continuity in mind. Under a periodic maintenance contract aligned with BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation), the pump set and line pressure are tested regularly. The mechanical systems that secure the system's water source are a priority in these checks.
