Our fire protection approach on the Motif Tekstil project

In textile manufacturing, fiber dust generated on yarn and fabric processing lines creates an environment that burns far faster than usual when suspended in the air. The constantly moving nature of the production line can let a spark spread over a wide area within seconds. The density of fabric rolls in storage sections is an additional factor feeding this risk.

At the Motif Tekstil factory, an automatic response capability was built with a sprinkler system while fire hose cabinets and hydrants support access across the site. The fire water infrastructure was integrated into facility safety together with smoke vent solutions, early warning and emergency signage systems, protecting against the risk on the fiber-dust-heavy production line.

The project was completed with fire department approval, on an installation process planned without stopping the production flow. The system is inspected regularly under a periodic maintenance contract aligned with BYKHY (Turkish Fire Protection Regulation). The sprinkler system, the core of automatic protection on the production line, is a priority in these checks.
